Corporate Headshots with Sherri

Up today are the corporate portraits for the fabulous Sherri Hall, certified massage therapist. Sherri wanted to get some headshots for her website that would reflect her professionalism as well as her massage style. So we started on white seamless, which offers a very clean look associated with the healing properties of massage. But instead of blast the background to pure white on every shot, like we often do, we let the background go into some neutral grays, or some warmer mid-white tones. This lent a more intimate quality to some of the photos, a sort of "I can imagine myself being on that massage table" feeling. Arvada West School Dance

So, we're a little behind on blog posts! We shot the Arvada West High School winter dance back in February, and are just getting around to sharing it with you. It was a blast to create the backdrops for this dance, whose theme was "Fire & Ice." And when we went to shoot it, we got all wrapped up in the nervous excitement that goes with a High School dance. As a photographer, it's part of my job to sort of get inside the head of whoever we're shooting, and it was a lot of fun to revisit the school dance in that way. We'll be back for their prom in May, so stay tuned!
